To us, hair is hair and our haircuts apply to all hair and all people, so we’ve changed some well-known haircut names from the classic salon slang “man’s or woman’s” cuts. We’ve always categorized haircuts by texture and length, but kept traditional cut names to keep it simple. The times have changed. Men wear longer styles and women have buzz cuts, but pricing is still all a matter of time and skill. This is more about educating new guests about how we price and categorize cuts and a thoughtful gesture for existing salon guests.
Haircut names may change, but rest assured we’ll still provide the same great haircut experience. Generally curly cut, buzz cut or a signature cut are the 3 main cuts we book.

Hair Cutting Style Name
Curly cuts
We always consult before cutting, but if you have curly hair and wear it naturally (and it’s not short or buzzed), always go for a curly haircut. Curly hair cuts for new guests are preferably booked over the phone but are not required. Once a curl routine is established, you can perform quick maintenance curl cuts between full cuts.
Signature haircuts
Our women’s haircut is now called Signature Hair Cut. Shampooing, cutting, blow-dry finish and dry cutting are still included. It applies to anyone whose hair is of average texture and has not been cut with clippers. Most cuts are classified as short, medium, or long signature cuts. This is what to let us know when planning if you are new.
Buzz cut or gentleman’s cut.
The price is similar between these 2 cuts, both of which used to be “men’s cuts”. Buzz Cut is for everyone and pretty much self-explanatory. Men’s cut is more for our long-time men’s cut customers who will probably never read anything about it.
